2014 Retrospective

I am a nerd when it comes to reflection.  Similar to my OCD obsession with lists, I yearn to look back and accomplishments (as well as those things not yet achieved).  I also aim to set new lists in place as new goals approaching the new year ahead.

The year 2014 invited: a new Fresh Tracks Farm wine label and several paintings of ideas for more, a new artisan show at the Essex Fairgrounds which drew thousands of people, a repeated charity event show, and a retrospective of new paintings.  I created a bird show for Healthy Living, trucks and bulldozers for a child’s room, owls for a nursery, houses and mountains, Vermont iconography, bacon and pork renditions, a barn for Vermont Bicycling Tours, finished a painting of an M-4 in nostalgia of Basic Training, Lake Champlain sunsets and Vermont landscape scenes of Art Hop at Evolution Yoga Studio, and painted live in front of a large crowd at Magic Hat for their annual Wall to Canvas Event.

I finished my 3rd semester of my Masters of Social Work and worked both with homeless populations as well as counseled the college student population at UVM.  I wrote hundreds of pages and read thousands, expanding my filing cabinet and repertoire of knowledge.  I adopted a rescued Maine Coon kitten and had a shift in my own life training.  I got married and met numerous amazing local Vermont wedding professionals.  Things changed and new paths were formed.  And I was blessed to be able to bust out numerous paintings in time for the holidays and send them thousands of miles into people’s homes.  I am already signed up for one exhibit and for one art show in 2015 and I am making that list of goals…
